No Country For Old Men LEAK! Gas Station Scene w/ Actual Recorded Dialog

While I can’t reveal the source of this video, I can verify its authenticity. Most people don’t know that all of Javier Bardem’s movie work is overdubbed by his twin brother. What you are about to see is the best scene from No Country for Old Men as it was filmed that day.

UPDATE:

No Country For Gay Men has been mentioned in this weeks Entertainment Weekly.

Web Obsession of the Week

SWEET AS CHIGURH

Remember that heart-pounding confrontation in No Country For Old Men when Anton Chigurh, Javier Bardem’s coin-tossing killing machine, taunts an elderly store clerk who has no clue he just might be ringing up his last sale? Well, some online joker has turned the scene on its head, replacing Bardem’s gravelly intonation with a hyper-effeminate voice-over. The clip is a dandy, not only because its flamboyant Chigurh is so jarringly different from the Coen Brothers’ assassin, but also because the clerk’s bewildered reaction works perfectly with either voice. When Chigurh says, “You’ve been putting up your whole life – you just didn’t know it,” try not to titter at a bloodthirsty villain who sounds a bit like Linda Richman. – Jeff Labrecque

I’m sorry, but I really don’t see what’s so funny here. Aside from the effeminate voice over, I don’t see it.

I wish the whole movie would’ve been filmed with the ‘brother!’ It may have been worth the money I threw away at the theatre… I felt like I’D lost the coin toss!

    Nice job!

Is this the one they did on Conan, or is this just a rip-off of the same joke?

  14. Cat Yoga Says:

I loved it … but I couldn’t help but think that had both voices been as effeminate as possible that the banter back and forth would have been twice as funny. I would have also bleached his hair blonde.

  15. Kevin Says:

Why are you saying it’s the “actual recorded dialogue” when it’s the voiced over version that you’re featuring?

Very, very entertaining, but also a little bit misleading! Fun to watch though.

  16. Sue Says:

Hilarious! And not quite as scary as the original. LOL

  17. Mskeeep Says:

Wow. What a genius. I have to say, crap/junk/garbage like this rates right up there with drawing a mustache on a great portrait. It’s not funny. It’s pathetic. It debases the work of every person who worked on this film. It is, unimaginative, boring, and cynical. Makes one wish that Javier Bardem’s character could meet this video’s maker and get him to call a coin toss… and lose.
